Mr. Frank McKiney
Mr. McKiney brings over 30 years of management experience in the technology industry to GuideTech. Mr. McKiney has held a variety of senior management positions with HP, Agilent, Teradyne, FormFactor and ADR Test Systems. Mr. McKiney pioneered HP's entry into the ATE business in the early 80's, with the introduction of systems in the Memory and Mixed Signal Test Market. Mr. McKiney was also instrumental in Agilent's entry into the SOC market in Boeblingen, Germany. Mr. McKiney also led several successful acquisitions for Agilent as Senior Director of Business Development before moving to FormFactor Inc. as Vice President of Marketing. Most recently Mr. McKiney was the CEO of ADR Test Systems.
Mr. Jacob Tanz
Mr. Tanz has spent over 32 years in a variety of executive high tech positions. Over the past few years he has been providing strategic consulting services to various high tech organizations. Mr. Tanz' experience spans the high tech landscape as President & CEO of Oren Semiconductor, to Executive Sales & Marketing positions with Libit Signal Processing. Mr. Tanz drove and led the acquisition of Libit Signal Processing to Texas Instruments in 1999 for $365M.
As a VP of Sales and Marketing at Terayon Communication Corp, Mr. Tanz contributed to the growth of the Broadband Communication though the promotion of Cable Modem technology. For 15 years at Intel Corp, he held various positions, from Corporate Business Development specializing in driving Broadband technologies deployment, to Product and Customer marketing positions for Intel's embedded processors and Intel's leading processor family the x86 (80486dx, dx2, dx4). Most of Mr. Tanz early days at Intel were spent in the field working with PC, Military and various commercial customers. Mr. Tanz holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA.
Dr. Maximilian Schroeck
Prior to joining Cipio Partners, Dr. Schroeck was Managing Partner of Agilent Ventures, Palo Alto, CA, overseeing Agilent Technologies' global venture investments in communication and measurement technologies as well as biotech. While at Agilent, the world's leading high-tech test & measurement company, Dr. Schroeck was also in charge of the firm's corporate strategy group and new business development function, where he launched and managed efforts in nano-scale measurement and other emerging technology areas. Before joining Agilent in early 2001, Dr. Schroeck was Vice President and Partner with A.T. Kearney, a global management consulting firm. Based in Silicon Valley, he co-led the EDS/A.T.Kearney Venture Fund after a distinguished, decade-long consulting career in Europe and the U.S. advising many of the world's leading high technology companies on corporate strategy issues around growth, innovation and operational effectiveness. Dr. Schroeck holds MBA and Doctorate degrees in Strategic Management from Munich University, Germany.
Tom S. Anthofer
Prior to founding Cipio Partners, Tom was Partner of Broadview Holdings LP, New York/London, one of the largest investment banking and private equity firms serving the Technology, Media and Telecommunications ("TMT") industries. Since 1992, Tom was responsible for strategic and financial advisory to larger and medium-sized corporates as well as financial sponsors with early and later-stage investment portfolios in TMT and Business & Support services. In addition, Tom oversaw principal investments in the Software, Services and Media sector. Before joining Broadview, Tom was with Nomura and Mitsubishi Bank in Tokyo and New York where he served from 1987 as a principal responsible for both institutions' Industrial Investments and private equity holdings in Medical Equipment and Information Technology worldwide. Tom holds a BA in Economics and an MBA from Duke University.
Katherine Jen - Managing Partner
A seasoned investment executive and a pioneer in Taiwan¡¦s venture capital industry, Katherine has substantial experience in finance, deal structuring, and venture capital investment. As a leader in the growth of Taiwan¡¦s technology industry during the 1980s, she led the $3 billion Taiwan Government Development Fund and was responsible for the investment of many leading technology companies in Taiwan, including TSMC and Mosel-Vitelic. Serving as a Director on the Board since the inception of TSMC, Katherine had been heavily involved with the company's strategic decisions and was instrumental in its eventual growth into world¡¦s largest semiconductor foundry. Katherine also led the fund-of-funds investment of the Taiwan Government Development Fund, facilitated the formation and led the investment in Taiwan¡¦s first group of venture funds, including H&Q Asia Taiwan, Walden International Taiwan, Hotung Capital. She also served on board of the International Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), the largest commercial bank in Taiwan. Katherine served on the board of many leading technology companies including TSMC, Mosel-Vitelic, NetScreen, Protego Networks, Sebring, Warpspeed, and Reflectivity, NetLogic. Her current board seats include: Inapac, IntruGuard, Optimal, Intoto, Mediabolic, and Clear Shape. Katherine received her LLB from National Taiwan University.
