| Executives Mr. Frank McKiney
- President & CEO
Mr. McKiney brings over 30 years of management experience in the technology industry to GuideTech. Mr. McKiney has held a variety of senior management positions with HP, Agilent, Teradyne, FormFactor and ADR Test Systems. Mr. McKiney pioneered HP's entry into the ATE business in the early 80's, with the introduction of systems in the Memory and Mixed Signal Test Market. Mr. McKiney was also instrumental in Agilent's entry into the SOC market in Boeblingen, Germany. Mr. McKiney also led several successful acquisitions for Agilent as Senior Director of Business Development before moving to FormFactor Inc. as Vice President of Marketing. Most recently Mr. McKiney was the CEO of ADR Test Systems.
Sassan Tabatabaei – Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Tabatabaei has extensive experience in timing-related instrument design, architecture and product definition, as well as an in-depth knowledge of signal integrity issues and solutions. Mr. Tabatabaei has published many technical papers and has several awarded or pending patents in this area. As CTO he is responsible for all R&D activities.
He co-founded Vector 12 Corporation in British Columbia, Canada. There, he held the position of CTO and developed new semiconductor intellectual property (SIP) products for timing, jitter, and signal integrity test of PLLs and high-speed I/Os. In January 2004, he joined Guide Technology as Chief Scientist, where he developed timing and jitter measurement algorithms and architectures. Subsequently he joined Virage Logic Corporation as director of embedded test and repair, where he was responsible for developing mixed-signal test and repair strategies. He has now returned to Guide Technology Sassan Tabatabaei holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Art Stein – Chief Financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Stein brings 20 years of finance and operational management experience in both the hardware and software technology industries. Prior to joining GuideTech, Mr. Stein held numerous senior financial and operational management positions at Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies. Mr. Stein has been responsible for developing new business unit finance and administration organizations in addition to leading operational management groups. Mr. Stein has lead production, procurement, planning, engineering and NPI activities for businesses exceeding $200M, with operations in California, Colorado, and the Far East.
Adi Merschon – Vice President of Sales & Business Development
Mr. Merschon joined Guidetech in January of 2000. As Director of Sales and Business Development, Mr. Merschon is responsible for identifying and managing strategic accounts and for the development of worldwide sales through a network of distributors and reps. His role also includes managing the relationship with ATE Partners. Prior to GuideTech he held top technical sales positions in the semiconductor subcontract manufacturing industry with ASE Test and ITH, providing final test, wafer sort, failure analysis and QA services to fabless semiconductor companies and large IDMs. Mr. Merschon also worked at Intel for 7 years, with design, test engineering and product engineering positions in the DataCOM group.
Calvin Ngo – Director of Operations
Mr. Ngo was named Director of Operations of GuideTech in May 2004, responsible for management and leadership of the Operations group of the company including manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, product test, product certification, and customer service. Shortly after joining GuideTech, he has implemented a Product Quality Tracking system and RMA service database to successfully facilitate the Supplier Quality Audit program from one of the world largest Semiconductor ATE provider.
Prior to GuideTech, Mr. Ngo served as Senior Manager of Manufacturing and Test Engineering for the Mobile Product Group of Credence Systems Corporation, a leading provider of design-to-test solutions for the global semiconductor industry. He joined Credence in March 1995 as Operations and Service Manager of the Memory Product Group from the acquisition of EPRO Corporation - a privately owned Non-volatile Memory Test Equipment company. During his nine-year tenure at Credence, he was one of the key development team members and helped successfully release to manufacturing the Kalos1 and Kalos2 product lines, which ultimately achieved sales in excess of $250M. Prior to Credence, Mr. Ngo had worked in a variety in the Operations management, and Applications Engineering capacities at Rational Software and EPRO since 1986 until Credence Systems Corporation acquired it.
Ron Lau – Director of Marketing
Mr. Lau is a 20 year veteran of the measurement instrument and semiconductor test equipment industries. Mr. Lau has held various engineering, marketing and business development management positions over his twenty years of experience. Mr. Lau has gained a wealth of experienced from Hewlett-Packard, Agilent, LeCroy, Keithley Instruments and Litepoint, before joining GuideTech.
