GUIDETECH PROMOTES BOB RAYBUCK TO CEO SPURRED BY BUSINESS UPTURN
JACOB TANZ ADDED TO BOARD FOLLOWING COMPANY’S SUCCESS
SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 17, 2005 – GuideTech, the leading supplier of precision timing and jitter analysis solutions for semiconductor manufacturing test, today announced the appointment of Mr. Bob Raybuck as GuideTech’s new President and CEO. Mr. Raybuck will also join GuideTech’s Board of Directors. In addition, GuideTech has also announced the appointment of Mr. Jacob Tanz to its Board.
Mr. Raybuck brings over 20 years of experience in the technology sector to the CEO role at GuideTech and has served the company for the past two years as CFO and COO. “Bob’s proven track record, together with his strong operational background and focused management style will help GuideTech capitalize on it’s leadership position in production test solutions in an increasingly competitive global market” stated Dr. Hans Betz, GuideTech’s Chairman.
Mr. Raybuck will focus on maximizing operational efficiencies to drive profitability, while developing and implementing the strategies to drive new business and penetrate new markets for GuideTech’s patented CTIA technology for timing test. “Reaffirmed by record orders in March, and improving forecasts for the rest of this year, GuideTech’s solutions for production test are proven to be without peer by offering a much needed breakthrough in the cost of test for IC devices incorporating high speed PLLs and rapidly emerging multi-gigabit serial interfaces” said Mr. Raybuck. “Our strategy is to maximize our technology advantage in high throughput timing and jitter solutions to maintain and grow GuideTech’s position as the leader in cost effective production test, while focusing on higher performance applications where getting “inside the head” of an ATE system is a critical success factor in the longer term”.
Mr. Tanz joins GuideTech’s board with 32 years of experience in a number of various high-tech executive positions. “As one of GuideTech’s early investors, I see this as an exciting time for the company with the confirmation of GuideTech’s CTIA technology advantage growing steadily as more and more customers, both fabless and IDM, start to latch onto the throughput and cost-saving benefits of GuideTech’s precision timing measurement instruments.” said Mr. Tanz. “My objective as a board member is to help the company realize the value that has been built up as GuideTech products continue to fill the gap in test capability for high speed PLL clocks and wide data buses while also shining a light of hope that a cost-effective solution exists for precision test of high speed source synchronous buses and multi-gigabit serial interfaces going forward.”
About GuideTech
GuideTech is the leading innovator in high-performance timing measurement instruments, providing semiconductor manufacturers with the solution they need to minimize timing-related component failure and to dramatically reduce production test costs through test-time reduction and extended ATE lifecycles. Based on patented Continuous Time Interval Analyzer (CTIA) technology, the company's FEMTO family of multi-channel timing test systems accomplishes this by substantially improving test throughput via fast measurement rates, far greater accuracy, increased parallelism, and through critical, high-speed timing test coverage often lacking in ATE systems. Headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA, the company is the first to deliver cost-effective, advanced timing measurement solutions that easily integrate onto any ATE platform.
