GUIDETECH SHIPS 200th SYSTEM CONTINUING ITS LEADERSHIP IN HIGH-THROUGHPUT IC TIMING & JITTER TESTS ON AGILENT 93000 ATE PLATFORM

Sunnyvale, CA – July 5, 2005 – GuideTech, the leading supplier of precision timing and jitter analysis solutions, has seen an acceleration in orders for its flagship Femto 2000™ Continuous Timing Interval Analyzer (CTIA) system, primarily driven by the reviving graphic and cell phone businesses, and has announced the shipment of the 200th Femto system. This milestone shipment of the 200th Femto 2000 CTIA brings the total number of GuideTech timing measurement instruments installed world wide to over 1700 units.

“We ship Femto 2000 systems to major subcontract test, assembly and packaging (TAP) companies in Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, China and Malaysia where they are appreciated for their easy integration onto semiconductor automated test equipment (ATE) like the Agilent 93000, Teradyne FLEX, and the Nextest Maverick, and where they are favored by industry-leading IC companies for equipment reliability, fast measurement speed and high throughput,” stated Calvin Ngo, Director of Operations at GuideTech. “We are pleased to celebrate the success and growing acceptance of GuideTech solutions by continuing to deliver superior CTIA technology in the form of reliable and high-quality test products to our customers.”

“When GuideTech first launched the Femto 2000 in 2000, it revolutionized PLL, clock delay and Source Synchronous bus testing with its promise of high throughput, precision timing measurements on multiple parallel channels, on any ATE platform. We view the shipment of our 200th system as an affirmation that GuideTech’s CTIA technology is truly the most cost effective and production worthy solution for critical precision timing test in high volume production,” stated Bob Raybuck, CEO & President of GuideTech. “In recent months, new subcontract test companies have been added to the expanding list of Femto 2000 customers, like Carsem and Unisem in Malaysia, and GTC and King Yuan in Taiwan, while mainstay TAP customers like SPIL, ASE and Amkor continue to invest in the Femto. To us, this 200th system milestone not only underscores the company’s current leadership in the production test environment, but also confirms the confidence our customers have in our future roadmap which addresses the growing use of high-speed serial interfaces in next generation high-end and consumer devices.”

About GuideTech
GuideTech is the leading innovator in high-performance timing measurement instruments, providing semiconductor manufacturers with the solution they need to minimize timing-related component failure and to dramatically reduce production test costs through test-time reduction and extended ATE lifecycles. Based on patented Continuous Time Interval Analyzer (CTIA) technology, the company's FEMTO family of multi-channel timing test systems accomplishes this by substantially improving test throughput via fast measurement rates, far greater accuracy, increased parallelism, and through critical, high-speed timing test coverage often lacking in ATE systems. Headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA, the company is the first to deliver cost-effective, advanced timing measurement solutions that easily integrate onto any ATE platform.
