CONTINUED STRONG REVENUE GROWTH PROMPTS EXPANSION
ADDITIONAL BOARD MEMBER JOINS AS GT4000 MOVES TO PRODUCTION SHIPMENT
Sunnyvale, CA – November 8, 2005 – GuideTech announces their third straight quarter of strong revenue growth indicating a full recovery from the 2004 industry downturn. Steadily increasing revenues attest to the growing recognition of GuideTech's Femto 2000 CTIA as the most cost-effective solution available for enhancing precision timing capability of any ATE in high-volume manufacturing test. Installation of the new GT4000 CTIA on Teradyne and Agilent Pinscale ATE in Taiwan and Korea for HVM test of both PCI Express, higher performance PLLs of cell phone and other consumer devices sets the stage for higher revenue growth rates in the coming quarters. GuideTech also welcomes a new board member, Maximilian Schroeck, a Managing Partner with Cipio Partners and former Managing Director of Agilent Ventures. Cipio Partners recently acquired a major equity position in Guidetech.
"I am excited to join GuideTech's Board of Directors at this important time for the company," stated Maximilian Schroeck. "GuideTech is offering market-leading technology and has built an excellent reputation among IC design houses and subcontract test facilities alike."
"2005 has been a truly amazing year for GuideTech," stated Bob Raybuck, GuideTech president & CEO. "A growing number of leading edge customers are deploying GuideTech's cost effective test solutions, complementing their current ATE investments or extending the life of their existing test hardware. We are delighted to add Maximilian Schroeck to our Board of Directors. Maximilian's industry insight will allow him to play an important role in further accelerating GuideTech's success."
Prior to joining Cipio Partners, Dr. Schroeck was Managing Partner of Agilent Ventures, Palo Alto, CA, overseeing Agilent Technologies' global venture investments in communication and measurement technologies as well as biotech. While at Agilent, the world's leading high-tech test and measurement company, Dr. Schroeck was also in charge of the firm's corporate strategy group and led multiple new business development efforts, including a project in nano-scale measurement. Before joining Agilent in early 2001, Dr. Schroeck was Vice President and Partner with A.T. Kearney, a global management consulting firm. Based in Silicon Valley, where he co-led the EDS/A.T.Kearney Venture Fund after a distinguished, decade-long consulting career in Europe and the U.S. advising many of the world's leading high technology companies on corporate strategy issues around growth, innovation and operational effectiveness. Dr. Schroeck holds MBA and Doctorate degrees in Strategic Management from Munich University, Germany.
About GuideTech
GuideTech is the leading innovator in high-performance timing measurement instruments, providing semiconductor manufacturers with the solution they need to minimize timing-related component failure and to dramatically reduce production test costs through test-time reduction and extended ATE lifecycles. Based on patented Continuous Time Interval Analyzer (CTIA) technology, the company's FEMTO 2000 and GT4000 families of multi-channel timing test systems and accompanying Datacom Analysis software substantially improve test throughput via fast measurement rates, far greater measurement and analysis accuracy, and the ability to handle asynchronous or non-deterministic signals without external arming on up to 32 or 64 channels . These capabilities, which are strongly linked to GuideTech's unique CTIA technology, enable critical, high-speed, functional, timing and jitter test coverage for PLLs and multi-gigabit serial interfaces such as PCI Express, in milliseconds, in parallel, and in production. Headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA, the company is the first to deliver cost-effective, advanced timing measurement solutions that easily integrate onto any ATE platform.
